We offer the Micro-fanning technique, also known as Russian lip fillers at Belle Vous Spa, as one of our advanced signature procedures. This technique involves the precise placement of filler using a micro droplet technique, ensuring maximum definition and providing a subtle lift to the lips while maintaining a natural-looking profile.

To achieve the full effect of the Micro-fanning technique, we recommend a minimum of 1ml of filler. It’s important that there is little to no existing filler present in the lips, as this ensures the lips are pliable and soft for optimal results. If previous filler needs to be dissolved, we advise waiting a minimum of 4 weeks before undergoing new treatment to allow the connective tissue to heal fully. This is crucial to prevent any potential migration of the product. Please note that we cannot be held liable for any product migration after dissolving, so it’s essential to follow this recommendation for your safety and satisfaction.

Frequently asked questions

At our clinic, we prioritize your satisfaction and believe that it begins with a thorough consultation. During this initial meeting, we’ll take the time to understand your desired outcome and discuss the best approach to achieve it. We’ll talk about the specific look you want to achieve and explore the most effective techniques and products to help you reach your goals.

During the consultation, we’ll also provide you with detailed information about the procedure, including the expected price, the types of products we use, and the techniques involved. We want you to feel fully informed and comfortable before proceeding with treatment, so we’ll answer any questions you may have and address any concerns.

It’s understandable to feel both excited and cautious about the immediate results of injectable treatments. While you’ll notice added volume and definition right after the procedure, it’s important to be aware that swelling can occur, which may temporarily cause treated areas to appear uneven or lumpy.

Recovery times can vary from person to person, but we typically advise allowing at least two weeks for your body to fully recover after any injectable treatment. During this time, the swelling will gradually subside, allowing the final results to become more apparent.

Before the procedure, we apply a topical cream to the lips to help numb the area and reduce sensitivity. Additionally, the fillers we use contain Lidocaine, an anesthetic that provides effective pain relief during the injection process. This helps to further alleviate any discomfort and ensures a more pleasant experience for our clients.

While pain thresholds can vary from person to person, the majority of individuals who undergo treatment at our clinic report experiencing nothing more than mild discomfort during the procedure. Our experienced practitioners are trained to administer injections with precision and care, minimising any discomfort you may feel.

Swelling and bruising are common side effects of injectable treatments, including dermal fillers, and they can occur due to the insertion of the needle and the product being injected. Despite our best efforts to minimise these effects, the intricate network of blood vessels and capillaries in the face can make it challenging to avoid entirely, even for experienced injectors like ours.

While we always take great care during treatment to minimise the risk of swelling and bruising, it’s important to be aware that some patients may still experience these side effects. Swelling and bruising can vary from person to person and are influenced by factors such as individual anatomy, skin sensitivity, and the specific area being treated.

To ensure that you achieve optimal results and minimise the risk of visible side effects, we recommend planning your appointment at least two weeks ahead of any event or special occasion where you want to look your best. This allows ample time for any swelling and bruising to subside fully, allowing you to enjoy the final results of your treatment.

During the recovery period, it’s essential to follow any post-treatment instructions provided, such as avoiding strenuous exercise and certain medications that may increase the risk of bruising. Additionally, applying ice packs to the treated area can help reduce swelling and discomfort.

Hyaluronic acid, the main ingredient in many dermal fillers, is naturally found within our skin, making the risk of a reaction to injected filler very rare. Additionally, our practitioners are highly skilled and trained to inject fillers safely, ensuring a smooth and comfortable experience for our clients.

Yes, hyaluronic acid fillers can be dissolved using a product called hyaluronidase. This enzyme works by breaking down the hyaluronic acid filler, allowing it to be metabolised and absorbed by the body. Hyaluronidase is typically injected directly into the area where the filler was placed, and it works relatively quickly to dissolve the filler.

Metabolism plays a role in how quickly the body breaks down and absorbs the filler. Individuals with faster metabolisms may find that the filler dissipates more quickly than those with slower metabolisms.

Lifestyle factors such as smoking, sun exposure, and exercise can also impact the longevity of filler treatments. Smoking and excessive sun exposure, for example, can accelerate the breakdown of filler and contribute to its shorter lifespan.

Additionally, if an individual has had filler treatments in the past, fillers may take longer to break down over time. This is because the body can develop a tolerance to the filler, resulting in a slower rate of absorption.

Ultimately, dermal fillers typically last between 3 to 6 months, it’s important to keep in mind that individual experiences may vary.

Yes, it’s possible to gradually increase lip volume. However, it’s important to understand that achieving the desired lip volume may require several visits to the clinic.

Typically, we recommend scheduling treatment sessions three to four weeks apart to allow for a gradual buildup of filler volume. By spacing out the sessions, we can monitor the progress and ensure that the results align with your goals and preferences. This approach also allows for a more controlled and natural-looking enhancement of the lips.

Once you’ve achieved your desired lip size, maintenance sessions may be necessary to preserve the results over time. It’s common for filler to gradually break down and for the lips to lose volume over several months. Booking periodic top-up appointments can help you maintain the look and ensure that your lips continue to look full and youthful.
